Bina Patel brings a wealth of experience and heart to the Coastal Dermatology team, where she’s worn many hats since joining in 2007. What began as a medical assistant role quickly evolved into leadership, and today, she’s at the helm of our day-to-day operations as office manager. With over 38 years in clinical care and 16 years steering the business side of medical practices, Bina is a true veteran in the world of dermatology.

Originally from Wembley, England, Bina spent her childhood in sunny Southern California. There, she landed her first job in dermatology—starting out as a medical assistant in Fountain Valley and earning a promotion to office manager just two years later. Eventually, she made her way to Jacksonville, where she’s been helping guide Coastal Dermatology’s growth and success for more than 18 years.

Bina thrives on progress. She’s always looking for ways to streamline systems, adopt new technology, and elevate the patient experience. Her leadership has helped the practice expand its capabilities while keeping care personal, efficient, and forward-thinking.

Outside the office, Bina is all about family time. She loves gathering with her three grown children (and their spouses), spoiling her beloved grand-daughter Naira and grand-dog Korra—who’s been known to make a cameo or two at the clinic—and catching a good Bollywood film with her circle of girlfriends. When she’s not multitasking at work or planning a family get-together, she’s relaxing with her husband and enjoying life’s little moments.
