Meet Jacksonville’s Leading Dermatologist

Dr. Sanjiva Goyal is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for thoughtful, expert skin care—and a schedule that keeps him moving between Coastal Dermatology’s two locations in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach.
Originally trained in England, Dr. Goyal graduated with top honors from the University of Leeds Medical School before heading to the U.S. for his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He completed his dermatology residency at the well-respected Cook County Hospital in Chicago, along with a research fellowship at Northwestern University. His career later took him to Johns Hopkins University, where he served as clinic director in the Department of Dermatology, and then to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville as a Senior Associate Consultant.

In 2003, Dr. Goyal opened Coastal Dermatology with a simple mission: deliver honest, high-quality dermatologic care in a welcoming environment. Since then, he’s helped grow the practice into a go-to destination for comprehensive skin health and aesthetic services, blending cutting-edge treatments with a personal approach that keeps patients coming back.

Dr. Goyal’s clinical interests span both general and surgical dermatology, but he’s also known for his skill in non-surgical cosmetic procedures like Botox®, fillers, and laser treatments. He’s one of the few physicians in Northeast Florida trained in authentic, ultrasound-assisted VASER® liposuction and was among the first in the area to offer PDO thread lifts.

He’s a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and stays active in the field through affiliations with the Florida Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Goyal loves spending time with his family, traveling, and playing tennis with his sons.
